Twitter is an online social networking and microblogging service that enables users to send and read short messages called “tweets”. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 280 characters displayed on the user’s profile page and sent to their followers. Users can post images, videos, and links to websites, as well as reply to other users’ tweets and receive notifications when other users interact with them.
