Acura NSX Supercar Reborn as Hybrid Concept

The Acura NSX supercar has been reborn as a hybrid concept, combining the best of both worlds – the classic NSX design with the latest in hybrid technology. The new NSX concept is a two-seater, mid-engine sports car that is powered by a hybrid powertrain. It features a 3.5-liter V6 engine, three electric motors, and a nine-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Design

The exterior of the NSX concept is a modern interpretation of the classic NSX design. It features a low, wide stance with a long hood and a short rear deck. The front end is dominated by a large grille and a pair of LED headlights. The side profile is characterized by a long, sweeping roofline and a set of muscular wheel arches. The rear end features a pair of LED taillights and a large diffuser.

Interior

The interior of the NSX concept is designed to be both luxurious and sporty. It features a driver-focused cockpit with a digital instrument cluster and a center console with a touchscreen display. The seats are upholstered in leather and Alcantara, and the steering wheel is wrapped in leather. The interior also features a variety of advanced technologies, such as a heads-up display, a 360-degree camera system, and a premium audio system.

Performance

The NSX concept is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine, three electric motors, and a nine-speed dual-clutch transmission. The engine produces 500 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque, while the electric motors produce an additional 73 horsepower and 109 lb-ft of torque. The combined output of the powertrain is 573 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque. The NSX concept can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 3.0 seconds and has a top speed of 191 mph.

Technology

The NSX concept is equipped with a variety of advanced technologies, such as a four-wheel drive system, a torque vectoring system, and an adaptive suspension system. The four-wheel drive system distributes power to all four wheels for improved traction and handling. The torque vectoring system distributes torque to the wheels for improved cornering performance. The adaptive suspension system adjusts the dampers for improved ride comfort and handling.

Safety
