Acura NSX GT3 Team Welcomes Michael Shank

Michael Shank Racing Confirmed as Acura NSX GT3 Team

Michael Shank Racing (MSR) has been confirmed as the official Acura NSX GT3 team for the 2017 season. The team, which is based in Ohio, will be competing in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the Pirelli World Challenge.

MSR has been a part of the Acura family since 2004, when they first began racing the Acura NSX in the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series. Since then, the team has gone on to win multiple championships and races in the series, including the 2004 Rolex 24 at Daytona.

The team has also been successful in the Pirelli World Challenge, winning the GT class championship in 2016. This year, they will be competing in the GT3 class with the new Acura NSX GT3.

The Acura NSX GT3 is a race-prepared version of the production Acura NSX. It features a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, which produces over 500 horsepower. The car also features a six-speed sequential gearbox, adjustable suspension, and a carbon fiber body.

The team will be competing in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the Pirelli World Challenge with two cars. The drivers for the team have yet to be announced, but it is expected that they will be announced soon.

MSR is no stranger to success in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The team has won multiple races in the series, including the Rolex 24 at Daytona in 2004 and the 12 Hours of Sebring in 2005.

The team is also no stranger to success in the Pirelli World Challenge. They have won multiple races in the series, including the GT class championship in 2016.

The team is looking forward to the 2017 season and is confident that they can continue their success in both series.

“We are very excited to be back in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the Pirelli World Challenge with the Acura NSX GT3,” said team owner Mike Shank. “We have had a lot of success in both series and we are looking forward to continuing that success in 2017.”

The team is also looking forward to the challenge of competing in the GT3 class.

“The GT3 class is a very competitive class and we are looking forward to the challenge,” said Shank. “We have a great car and a great team and we are confident that we can be successful.”

The 2017 season will be an exciting one for MSR and the Acura NSX GT3. The team is looking forward to the challenge and is confident that they can continue their success in both series.
