“The Ultimate Race Machine”

The Nissan R390 GT1 is a race car that was built by Nissan Motorsports for competition in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1998 and 1999. It was designed to compete in the GT1 class, which required a production-based chassis and engine. The R390 was powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produced 600 horsepower. The car featured a carbon fiber and aluminum honeycomb monocoque chassis, a six-speed sequential gearbox, and a four-wheel drive system. The R390 was capable of reaching speeds of up to 200 mph and was one of the most advanced race cars of its time. Despite its impressive performance, the R390 was unable to secure a victory at Le Mans, finishing second in 1998 and third in 1999.
